Summer Cooking Class with Chef Ronna Welsh
Summer Cooking Class with Chef Ronna Welsh
On Tuesday August 22nd from 4-6:30 pm the David M. Hunt Library will host a cooking class with chef Ronna Welsh, summer resident of Falls Village, and chef and founder of "Purple Kale Kitchenworks", a small but mighty cooking school located in Brooklyn. Ronna is also author of "The Nimble Cook," a cookbook Martha Stewart says "empowers home cooks to new adventures and endless meals." Ronna has been cooking, teaching, and writing about food for over 25 years. .
Ronna's class will focus on making the most of the flavors of the summer season and will include local, organic vegetables from ADAMAH farm. Students will practice some friendly culinary improvisation as they cook alongside Ronna, and will enjoy a meal together at the end of the class. This class will take place in Miner Hall at the Falls Village Congregational Church. Registration is required for this program, as there are limited spots available.
