Beginning Friday, March 23, The David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village will present BOOK ART, an exhibit by Lee H. Kellogg School students. The 7th and 8th Grade students of Kellogg arts educator Chris Hanley created sculptures out of books donated to them by the Hunt Library. Each artwork was created with varying fold patterns of the books’ pages, revealing abstract and figurative shapes while recycling old books into new works of art. In some cases, paint, ribbon, and other ornamentations were added. The results are as unique as the artists themselves! The exhibit will be open during library operating hours through Saturday, April 14, 2018.
