Juneteenth Documentary Screening & Discussion

The David M. Hunt Library and the Falls Village Equity Project will host a screening and discussion of “Juneteenth: Exploring Freedom’s Stories” on Tuesday, June 20th at 3 pm. This 27 minute long film produced by the Annenberg Public Policy Center explores the history of Juneteenth and illustrates how and why freedom and citizenship were intertwined, as well as how the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution changed and expanded the definition of citizenship and the rights of all American citizens. This program is appropriate for ages 12 and up.
