In July, the David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village (CT) will open BOOK MARKS, its first large group art exhibition in over a year. Celebrating our life-long friendships with books, it features an outdoor installation by Zoe and Sergei Fedorjaczenko imagining books as the fruit of trees and an indoor display of artwork by twenty-two artists including Barbara Page, Robert Cronin, Amanda Thackray, Robert Andrew Parker, Tilly Strauss, and Danielle Mailer. There is also an original work by the recently passed Eric Carle, the peerless and influential children’s book illustrator, on loan from a private collection. An outdoor reception with refreshments, and live music by John Brett and friends, will take place on Saturday July 24 from 4 to 6PM. This event is free and open to the public. BOOK MARKS will be on display through September and can also be seen on the library’s website.
