On Thursday, February 22nd at 1 pm the David M. Hunt Library will host the program “Black History in Connecticut” with the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. Educators from the museum will take participants on a tour of items from their collection representing a spectrum of the Black experience in CT, from artifacts chronicling the black community of Saybrook which were preserved by writer Ann Perty to the photo album of a Hollywood actress who became a champion of labor rights for black entertainers to artifacts documenting the Civil Rights movement in our state. This event is free and open to the public.
