On Thursday, September 14th at 5 pm join David M. Hunt Library and ADAMAH farm for a tour of their farm and compost yard. Shamu Sadeh, Director of Education at Adamah, will walk participants through their organic certified 15-acre farm, which utilizes many regenerative agricultural practices such as: reduced tillage, planted pathways, perennials plantings on slopes, etc… Adamah has recently opened their compost yard to the public, inviting the community to drop off their food scraps at a designated bin on the farm. Learn about their compost operation, how it is utilized on the farm, and the dos and don’ts of contributing your food waste to the compost pile.
